Sassafras (Sassafras Lowrey)
Sassafras Lowrey is an author, artist, and freelance journalist who has been enamored with dogs since infancy.

Her photography has been showcased in galleries across the country, and she is the author of "GSA to Marriage: Stories of a Life Lived Queerly" (scheduled for release Summer 2008) and the editor of the anthology "Kicked Out" both are to be published by Homofactus Press.

Sassafras' life has been spent intertwined with dogs from teen years spent training in competitive obedience, and tracking and elite level dog agility competitor, to adulthood where dogs feature prominently in much of her art, she also frequently writes for LGBTQ and canine publications.

Sassafras lives in New York City with her partner, her canine kid and two kitty children.
