Leslie Kelly
Leslie Kelly graduated with a degree in journalism from Western Washington University before hitting the road to work for newspapers in Lewistown, Mont., Grand Junction, Colo., and at The Spokesman-Review in Spokane.
She's a member of the James Beard Foundation and the Association of Food Journalists, which awarded her a scholarship to take a course at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley. She also received a fellowship from the National Press Foundation to attend a workshop on food writing in Washington, D.C. in 2002.
Career highlights include meeting Julia Child and interviewing B.B. King on his tour bus in Memphis about his favorite foods growing up in Mississippi.
