« Such a nice day! Let's eat outside | Main | The hostess at Betty... »
The July Men's Journal features a cross-country alphabetical feast with a few pit stops in the Northwest, including huckleberry shakes in Victor, Idaho, oysters from the Hama Hama Seafood Company: "a roadside store on the Olympic Peninsula, beach-grows its oysters on pristine tide flats, so they're big and firm, with a honeydew aftertaste. Further convincing, if you need it: This is where Alice Waters' famed Chez Panisse gets its oysters ($6 a dozen; hamahamaoyster.com)."
And for "Z", it's zarzuela from the signature restaurant at the Mayflower Hotel: "Kentucky-born chef Wayne Johnson is the unlikely cocinero at Andaluca, the Pacific Northwest's most authentic Spanish restaurant. His top-selling zarzuela is a mussel-based bouillabaisse swirled through with saffron aioli ($24; andaluca.com)."
