Iterasi, one of four startup companies from Washington launching this week at the DEMO conference in Palm Desert, Calif., has unveiled a new social bookmarking service that allows people to save specific Web pages.
The Vancouver, Wash.-based company calls this notarizing a page, allowing users to tag information and add notes that later can be searched in a personal account. In a video on the Iterasi site, the company uses the example of a person who may want to save a specific Web page from an online map.
For example, a user who downloaded the service could use it to shop for homes on Redfin, Trulia or Zillow, saving pages related to specific properties.
The service reminds me in a way of Seattle's Trailfire, which is backed by Voyager Capital and, interestingly enough, launched at last year's DEMO conference. More on Trailfire here.
Iterasi is led by Pete Grillo, who founded WeSync.com in 1997 and has been a part of the Portland startup community for more than 20 years.

Forget the ad space altogether. It's time that Microsoft to show the long term vision that created their success in the first place. Clearly there are far more valuable, provocative and lucrative problems for technology to solve than consumer spending and entertainment. It's time for the Blue Monster to think bigger thoughts."
