Seattle-based Ontela, which transfers photos between camera phones and personal computers, will distribute its technology through Cellular South in a deal announced today at the CTIA Wireless & Entertainment conference. It is the first carrier deal for Ontela.
The service will debut next month, costing Cellular South customers $2.99 per month. Ridgeland, Miss.-based Cellular South is the largest privately held wireless carrier in the U.S.
Ontela, led by former RealNetworks group manager Dan Shapiro, raised $4.5 million from Hunt Ventures, Oak Investment Partners and Voyager Capital last year.

Forget the ad space altogether. It's time that Microsoft to show the long term vision that created their success in the first place. Clearly there are far more valuable, provocative and lucrative problems for technology to solve than consumer spending and entertainment. It's time for the Blue Monster to think bigger thoughts."
