Zillow.com unveils financing section

Zillow.com today unveiled a new financing section on its Web site that provides information on everything from balloon mortgages to tips on refinancing homes.

Could this indicate where the Seattle online real estate service plans to make its money?

"This is just the beginning – we'll add more financing info as we grow," writes Theresa Morrow, director of content at Zillow.

Cross-lake rival HouseValues has been boosting its financing and mortgage services in recent months, especially since it purchased The Loan Page last fall.

FEATURED COMMENT

PictureForget the ad space altogether. It's time that Microsoft to show the long term vision that created their success in the first place. Clearly there are far more valuable, provocative and lucrative problems for technology to solve than consumer spending and entertainment. It's time for the Blue Monster to think bigger thoughts."

-- Reader on Yahoo deal is over, so what startups will Microsoft buy?.
