This is a marriage made in heaven. Jobster is buying Jobby.

No joke.

"We are thrilled to be welcoming the Jobby team to Jobster," said Jobster Chief Executive Jason Goldberg in this press release. "With the addition of Jobby's Ajax programming expertise as well as their innovative user interface and tagging methodology, Jobster will further simplify the process of making career matches."

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, though Seattle-based Jobster said that it will integrate features from Jobby into a new consumer job site that will be unveiled this summer.

Jobby, with two employees, is based in Anchorage, Alaska. I am not too sure about the number of Web 2.0 startups up north, but I am guessing this acquisition eliminates a large percentage of them. As a result of the deal, Jobby founders Tony Wright and Brian Fioca will move to Seattle -- something they note in their blog.

One thing is for sure, this acquisition unites two of the Internet companies with the coolest logos.

Jobster has raised $30 million from Ignition Partners, Trinity Ventures and Mayfield (Note that I first reported that the company had raised $27.5 million).
