I hope that the Carbon River Road stays closed. As a trail it is a gorgeous and nearly flat walk through one of the prettiest old growth rain forests around. There is less than 500 ft of gain in a shy 5 miles. It is open to bikes and jogger strollers as well currently.
For a family get out it is a perfect choice! That and it can be hiked nearly year round.
