Tall Girls Unite

I was shopping last week and as usual I'm frustrated with pant length. I'm tall and it's a problem almost every time. I get little sympathy from most people who think that it's lucky to be tall (and it is) but it is also very hard to find jeans or pants that can be worn with anything other than a flat.

I may be unusual because I'm tall AND I like to wear heels, but that's the way it is. I think being tall and wearing heels is fun and interesting because most people shy away from it.

Anyway, I was in Westlake Center checking out Romy's (I do this often because they have fun stuff... as I"ve said before) and I saw on the directory that there was a Tall Girl store downstairs. (400 Pine Street, Seattle, 98101) Now, I knew that store was there, but I've never been in because I didn't think I was tall ENOUGH. I just sort of let it slip my mind because I KNEW that the clothes in that store wouldn't fit. That simply isn't true.

What is true is that they have great jeans and nice slacks for us tall women. There were things I definitely didn't like in the store (wrong fabric, not my style) but there were jeans that were TOO long for me. And I love that!

If you are 5'11'' or over you should definitely check it out. I went out the other evening wearing my new black jeans and I had to show all my friends how long they were. I kept pointing to my feet saying, "can you believe this?" If you are tall and you haven't had this experience, this place is worth the visit.

I am happy with luxuriouslytall.com for pants that are too long also, lol. Everything seems to be very high quality and lasts a long time.
