Movie crew films at Ballard restaurant today

The film crew that drew neighbors' curious gazes in West Seattle Wednesday has moved to Ballard to film a restaurant scene for the upcoming film "The Whole Truth," a producer told me this morning.

And that was about as much as I could get out of him over the phone.

"We're not terribly into announcing what we're doing while we're doing it, if you know what I mean," said the producer, Larry Estes.

Luckily, MyBallard is already on the scene, with some great pictures. Looks like crews have set up in front of the pet boutique Bark. And a blog tipster tells MyBallard they'll be headed to Zayda Buddy's, a pizza place, next.

Estes did say he lives in Ballard, and took a walk this morning to today's set.

As for what they're filming, it's "nothing thrilling," Estes said. A quick outdoor shot of characters entering a restaurant, then some scenes indoors -- in time to get out of the morning sprinkle Estes is afraid will disrupt tomorrow's shooting schedule.

Estes said most of the film, about an acting coach who becomes the target of one of her criminal clients, will be shot in Seattle, with some additional scenes in Tacoma.

How delightfully tacky in one of Seattle's up and coming neighborhoods! LMAO, I hope they get trashed at the Sloop and than Hattie's Hat so all those senior citizens at that new, ridiculous "The Canal" call the cops again.

..as long as this one doesn't involve that overly hairy Robin Williams. He kind of gives me the creeps!

The senior citizens don't live at the Canal Station...they live across the street at the "Landmark".

Well, if it has Eric Roberts in the cast, it must be a top notch production.
