Smoggy Seattle: Are you feeling it?

As Mike Barber reported Wednesday, Seattle has been placed under a smog watch recently.

As of Thursday morning, it's still in effect. The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency is encouraging people with sensitive health conditions to be careful when exercising or going outside.

Of course, the smog here is nothing compared to other parts of the world. In Beijing, for instance, pollution is a huge worry going into the olympics.

We want to know how you deal with hazy Seattle days. Is it really that bad out there for those of you with health problems?

At least it's not brown like it was in LA during the 70s.

I'm feeling it, since Tuesday of this week. I had assumed it was pollen but the pollen levels are low. I feel all clogged in the sinuses and very tired.

We are Americans. We will survive this extreme hardship.

Yes of course there is HORRID air pollution over this city. It will only get worse.

The air is choked by hundreds of metric tonnes of toxins spewed by the endless stream of screeching jets that fly directly over the city from 4am til past midnight.

When will City Council realize that air traffic pollution is THE NUMBER ONE CRIME against the people of Seattle? As long as it continues Seattle will never be truly Green.

Spend some money and move the jets away from the city center!!!

the TREES are becoming a bit 'putrified' lately...

It's awful. Difficult to be outside and unpleasant to use the fan to blow that garbage into the house on these hot nights. But it's also a good lesson -- the amount of pollution is not different from normal, only the stagnation. Normally pollute this much but are comfortable having it blow over someone else. Please drive less.

Had some minor sinus problems since early this week, but I will survive.

Have to admit I feel more tired than usual, though.

Yeah, it's kinda sucking the life out of me, too. I went deep into Ravenna Park, and it was still muggy. My yard is brown, too.
