Conor Oberst to perform at Easy Street

Picture
Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band are set to perform at Easy Street Records' Queen Anne location. It's one of only five stops they'll make across the country to hype the release of Oberst's self-titled album.

The story goes that Oberst and longtime associate Andy LeMaster set up a temporary studio in a mountain villa in Tepoztlán, Mexico (hence Oberst's outfit in the promo picture), and recorded the album in a month.

Stop by Easy Street at 20 Mercer St. on July 30 at 6 p.m. to see if you hear the difference between this project and Bright Eyes.

I find both Easy Street & Oberst a tad overrated. Don't need that store's "holier than thou" attitude.

Admittedly the West Seattle location is beter, but both Easy Streets are civic treasures. First unregistered user is an idiot. Go back to Sam Goody, they'll have plenty of your Faith Hill and Yanni records for you, and quit your bellyaching.

Boo 1st poster - go back to Bellevue and/or check out the Pullalup Fair, eh?

I agree with the first comment! There are indie stores with better customer service scattered all over this fine city.

you are idiots. Just b/c they look like hipsters doesn't mean they're too cool for you. Easy St. employees have been some of the nicest and most helpful record store people I've met here and in other cities in the US. Sonic Boom and Wax n Facts in Atlanta run a close second.

FEATURED COMMENT

PictureI am more interested in the state gubernatorial race than the national one. It is almost a forgone conclusion that Obama will take this state. With the tight race for governor, every vote will count."
