With the weather popping up in the '80s over this weekend, the outdoor arenas have been flooding with people trying to soak up as much of this Seattle sun as possible, before it tucks away again for who knows how long.
While enjoying every bit of the sun is, indeed, a necessity, one can't forget the tried and true tradition of happy hour to go along with these happy, hot days.
Yesterday, after walking around Greenlake, I ducked into Greenlake Bar and Grill to get some shade. As it turned out, I happened to stumble upon one of the best happy hours I have ever seen.
The most expensive food item on the happy hour menu is still under $5, $4.75, unless of course you want to add fries, which will cost an extra buck.
I ordered the fish tacos, $2.75, with the margarita at a mere $3.95. And for those happy hour-goers who prefer the beer, of course, there are cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon for only $2, which is practically free.
But my favorite part of this happy hour is that it happens seven days a week, twice a day. Anywhere that I can go and get dinner and a drink for under $10 gets my seal of approval and will definitely see me back for more.
