My latest musical turn on

Picture
I've found a new addiction in The Loved Ones. It's rare that I find new music that satifies my itch for punk rock, but with their new release "Build and Burn," as well as their 2006 album "Keep Your Heart," The Loved Ones have me begging for more.

This is the music you should blast in your car on your way to work. It is the anthem to get you through the day with classic punk sounds similar to Rancid, Dropkick Murphy's and Social Distortion.

I love the band's raw, energetic vocals, with lyrics about everyday life, love lost and growing up. You'll have a hard time not shouting along. They are the sounds that help me through mundane days with positive energy and a raw enthusiasm for life.

Check out my favorite tracks, "The Bridge" and "Sarah's Game" on The Loved One's Myspace page. "Sickening" is also an awesome track that you can get on iTunes for less than a buck or find on the bands album "Keep Your Heart."

It's not quite the same acoustic, but check out this video of The Loved Ones at G Rock's Punkyard Picture Show.
