Sene has microfracture surgery

Count Mouhamed Sene out of being even a consideration for the center positon next year for the Sonics. The Senegalese big man had a chondral defect (of or pertaining to cartilage or a cartilage, according to dictionary.com) and doctrors also performed microfracture surgery in addition to repairing a torn meniscus. So an injury that might have cost Sene part of his summer now might mean the 2008-09 season.

Greg Oden missed the entire 2007-08 season after microfracture surgery. Sene was co-defensive player of the year in the NBDL and may have had a chance to help the Sonics off the bench next season.

So David Pendergraft's endearing last gift to Seattle was a chondral defect. Thanks, Dave.

WTF??? Three years and 21 feet of ineptitude...Swift, Petro, Sene. Wally, Sund, Pendergraft...I am glad you are not my stock brokers. How is Al Jefferson doing? He would have been better than Swifty. I honestly believe this drafting strategy drove Nate Mac10 out of town. After he patched up the dingy and made that 2005 run into the playoffs, we drafted another stiff, his contract ended, and said it is going to get worse, and it has. Same goes for Dwayne Casey. These guys love multiple position players, swing guys that play D and can hit a 3.

Thank you so much Rick Sund and Mr. Walker for great great years of drafting 7 foot stiffs.

Harsh words (wo?)man. If there was a larger podunk city than OKC in the US, I would like to know its whereabouts. This is this the Baptist equivilent to the Utah Jazz...

Oh well. I will admit, Schultz royally screwed the city of Seattle. I dislike Bennett very much, and now he's uprooting the one somewhat storied franchise in Seattle. Too bad I like Presti a ton and think he can make the Sonics a real contender in 2 years or less. I may have to go for the OKC 'Pokes until Seattle gets a team again.

George Karl was right, Shawn Kemp was right--Wally Walker did indeed single-handedly destroy the Sonics and is largely at fault for their demise and move. Thanks Willy Wonka.
