Wednesday updates

The Sonics could be short-handed at forward as Damien Wilkins will miss the game because of personal reasons while forward Donyell Marshall had a sore knee examined after shoot-around and his status is unknown. The Sonics have until Thursday evening to make a decision on whether to re-sign Eddie Gill to a second 10-day contract and that appears unlikely with the lack of depth at forward.

Gill has hardly played since joining the Sonics and the club may want to get a look at a forward prospect to potentially add to its summer league team.

On the Clippers side, Elton Brand worked out for two hours at KeyArena this morning but said he is shooting for Thursday at Sacramento or Sunday against Houston. Center Chris Kaman is unlikely to play and could sit out the remainder of the season with badly sprained ankle.
