100 Best Blogs for Relationship Advice

100BestDatingSites.com--a site dedicated to weeding through the crap, read: porn, when trying to find good online dating sites--started their own blog in April called, "Nerds Do It Better." While there isn't much content up yet, what's posted is fun and informative for singles and couples. (Two recent posts are "25 Ailments That Can Be Cured By Having Sex" and "Perfectly Fit: 50 Ways to Meet Healthy and Active Singles" I love a reason to have more sex! I love finding a partner who is healthy and active!

Another recent post on the site is "Ask the Experts: 100 Best Blogs for Relationship Advice." If you're anything like me, which I'm assuming you are since you're reading here, a list of good dating blogs will serve you well. (I regularly read at least 15 dating blogs).

Oh, and as a shameful plug, they listed Bright Lights, Date City as one of their top 100. Aww. Shucks.

Any other dating blogs you can't live without?

Is mine considered a "dating" blog? I think that requires that you go on a date, right?

Gah!

OH boo. Your blog is totally a dating blog. I don't "go on dates" with mine either. My definition of a dating blog is anything about love, relationships, the opposite sex, or if it's a LGBT blog, then same sex...

Yours is most definitely one of my "must reads!" ;)

Call me a cynic, but was this topic suggested by a marketing executive?

Regardless, congrats on the top 100 listing.

From the point of view of a statistician I want to ask on what criteria was the top 100 based? Most read? Most posted? Most dates? Most "hook-ups"?

The first two; I fit.

The last two; not so much.

No. No marketing exec. They did send me a heads-up to let me know they included me, which is why I put "shameless plug." But really, it has some interesting content regardless, which is why I don't feel to bad about it.

Here's one of my favorites....this girl has more over the top stories about dating that you almost wonder if it's made up. Either way I'm hooked!

Nice work!

Perhaps I should spend a little LESS time getting blacked out in bars and little MORE time talking to the women I have to yell over to get a drink :) I'm going on an all-out push to make the next list.

Seriously though, awesome work.

Who can answer my question?
I am old enough to be past this type of stuff. hmm.
I have been with my partner since 2004. In the first few years he was cheating on me although I didn't know it.
When we moved in together he began seeing a counselor, confesssed (most) of his stuff and is truly benefiting from counseling. He's grown up a great deal. Six months after we moved in together, I found old evidence of some disturbing things- a swingers club membership, light bondage things- and was going to leave. The counselor asked me to give this a chance. I am also seeing her, and my partner is doing very very well. However, he won't marry me or even do legal documents on health issues. I really love the man he has become but at times have irrational current fears that he won't marry me because he may still have a secret life and I will be tricked. I hate living like this. In all honesty, I am pretty sure he is being good and will continue to be good. he is in his late 50's. As am I.
He knows I would have never gotten this involved with him if I had known what a jerk the earlier man was. He is not that man anymore. Yet, when I voice an insecurity, he goes on about how he may have done so much damage that I will never get back to trusting him, and he fears if he marries me that I'll end up not loving him and leave him. Like his first wife did.
Could someone with a more objective point of view help me understand my situation?
