The Evergreen Point Bridge will close this coming weekend for annual maintenance work, the state Department of Transportation said.

All lanes will shut down at 11 p.m. Friday (July 11) and re-open at 5 a.m. Monday. (July 14) During the the closure traffic on Highway 520 will be detoured away from the bridge at the Montlake ramp in Seattle; westbound traffic will detour at 92nd Avenue Northeast on the Eastside.

Alternative crossings of Lake Washington include Interstate 90 across it, Interstate 405 south of it and State Route 522 to the north. During the closure crews will complete a number of maintenance tasks, including checking and repairing lighting, clearing of brush on the shoreline and complete needed striping and sign work.
