« Wall Street got drunk | Main | Nader a boon to Democrats? »
New polling has Barack Obama leading John McCain slightly in Virginia (which is expected to be close) and Florida (which most observers expect McCain to win). The Democrat's lead in both surveys falls within the margin of error.
A Public Policy Polling survey has Obama up 46 percent to 44 percent in Virginia. The poll of 1,327 likely voters has a margin of error of 2.7 percent.
Rasmussen Reports has a new Florida poll showing Obama ahead of McCain 49-47. That query of 500 likely voters has a margin of error of 4.5 percent.
