Mayor Greg Nickels plans to release his proposal for a fall tax levy measure on Tuesday.
His office declined to publicly discuss any details before then.
Nickels has said he'd like to propose a property tax hike to support renovations at Pike Place Market and the Seattle Center. But his office has since acknowledged the Seattle Center portion might not be ready in time to go on this fall's ballot.
Some on the City Council also want to tack on funding to continue the city's parks levy, which expires at the end of the year. Nickels has opposed that idea.

I really think all these people are right out of their minds if they think, come this fall, the economic status of voters will find them eager to vote for more taxes and legacy projects for Nickels and Sims! Hoho!
