Clinton and Obama's Airbus $ (updated)

So, with many writers outraged that I would point out the money John McCain got from the top people at Airbus without saying how much Airbus employees had given to other candidates, here it is.

Hillary Clinton got $2,300 from Airbus "businessman" Glen Fukushima. see below

Barack Obama got $350 from Airbus lawyer Karl Hennessee.

As for McCain's Boeing money: $9,400. Most of that is from engineers and low level folks. He did get $2,300 from Senior Vice President Tod Hullin, but most of the donations from high level Boeing folks went to Clinton and Obama.

I think it should be noted that there is no way a U.S. senator can be bought for $12,000. That's insanely cheap. The money does prove that Airbus/EADS folks like McCain and what he's done.

Also, as a commenter pointed out, Boeing is the company that has a recent history involving actual bribery.

So why make a distinction between what top level people do and what regular folks do?

While it may be obvious, it may not be. The company's interests and the interest of its top management are congruent while people at lower levels of the organization tend to give for a variety of reasons.

Also, it should be pointed out that Northrop Grumman employees have given noticeably to all three standing candidates, but the executives there seem to favor Clinton.

UPDATE:
Fukushima is president of Airbus Japan and former deputy US Trade Representative. The P-I regrets the oversight.

It is obvious John McCain has some bias towards the EU. He has been targeting Boeing for a long time and wanted to ban the military from using Boeing altogether. This is a dangerous side to John McCain. I am not sure how he proclaims himself to be fit for the President's chair when he is trying to destroy the economy. Bill Clinton already destroyed the Mid West by selling out to China with his ridiculous NAFTA.

I think McCain will win the Presidency.

I can't believe Hillary (her surrogates) are trying/have tried to link Obama to Ken Star due to Obama's campaign asking about Hillary's tax returns. Considering this tremendously horrible and unimaginable smear, I can understand why one of Obama's staff members called Hillary a monster.

Oh this was suppose to be about John McCain... ok I don't think there's anything untoward about McCain getting 9,400 from Boing low-level employees or top execs. That doesn't have anything to do with why Boing wanted to choose EU. But it's campaign season. Democrats and Republicans are launching their attacks against each other, whether their justifiable and moral or not. Politics as usual. It's disgusting.

McCain's dislike of Boeing only goes back to the merger with McDonnell Douglas. He was shot down in a Douglas build plane.

Why didn't anyone say ANYTHING before the bid was accepted. If you don't want foreigners to build your planes- don't put it out for them to bid on it. McDermott has plenty to say now- too late BOZO.

Yes, the Airbus total mastery of the deal continues. First France and Germany set up a commercial airliner manufacturing entity, subsidize it to the tune of tens of billions of dollars for the express purpose of attaining a dominant position, and in the process eliminate two American manufacturers from the commercial aircraft business altogether. They then get to sit on the sidelines and heap criticism on the US and its military for participating in a war on terror. As a reward for this support we take billions of US tax dollars out of American pockets and ship them to Europe to build military aircraft for us. As a direct result of this decision we manage to lose tens of thousands of well-paid, high-tech US jobs in the deal. A large portion of the credit for this deal can be directly attributed to the efforts of John McCain and his top advisors, who recieved hundreds of thousands of Euros to lobby for the Airbus bid. If this is any example of how well McCain will guide this country's economy and military if he's elected President, God help us. Can you say, "third world economy".
