Update: suspect in rapes charged, other victims sought

King County sheriff's detectives are looking for other women who may have been attacked by a man accused of raping two women.

On Tuesday, prosecutors charged Imgran Gulmnabi Vahora, 29, first- and second-degree rape and first-degree robbery.

The first rape happened on Oct. 27, when a man forced an 18-year-old woman walking in the 16800 block of International Boulevard in SeaTac into his car, then drove her to a secluded church parking lot. There he robbed the woman of her cell phone, some cash, then raped her, despite her pleas that she was pregnant, court documents say.

The rapist dropped the woman off at a gas station.

On Nov. 22, a 19-year-old woman was attacked. That woman told detectives a man offered a ride, but instead took her to the same parking lot where the previous assault took place, and raped her at knife point. She managed to escape after the assault, waving down a passer-by for help.

Both woman were hit in the face, and the rapist also threatened to both victims, court documents say.

After both women identified Vahora in a photo lineup, police searched his home and questioned him. He admitted having sex with both women, court documents say. Officers found underwear and boots in Vahora's garage that one of the women identified as hers, court documents say.

Investigators are seeking any additional potential victims. Vahora drives a black, 2007 Mazda 323. He has a large gap between his front teeth. He is 5 foot, 6 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds and witnesses say he appears to be East Indian.

Anyone who have been a victim is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 206-296-3311.
