Police seek Wallingford sexual assault suspect

Seattle police investigators have released photographs of a man they believe burglarized a Wallingford home Monday night and sexually assaulted a woman who lived there. The woman is the mother of young children. Her husband had left the house to go on an errand when the attack occurred.

Police investigators said they had tracked the man to a Lynnwood business but declined to reveal how. Police say the photo here comes from the business.

Anyone with information is requested to call the Police Department's sexual assault unit at 206-684-5575.

Terrible story with hopefully a swift and just ending. Kudos to the investigators that have seemed to have put together some quick work. Hopefully this story will help to illustrate the more positive side to our local police that rarely gets media attention. Thoughts and prayers to the family as the whole community is with you.

What? You mean this crime was not commited by Bush/Cheney and financed by Halliburton?

And they are publishing the picture of the suspect? He's not just "a man"? The mind boggles...

Good job investigators.

Let's hope for a lot of support from counselors, relatives, and friends for the woman and her family.

Let's hope no officers or bystanders are injured when this POS is arrested. Maybe this will be the suspect's last strike, and no one will have to worry about encountering him in public again.
