Two dogs stolen in a West Seattle burglary earlier this week have been returned to their rightful owner.
An unidentified citizen took the pugs to the King County Animal Care and Control Shelter in Kent Thursday evening. Officials there were able to use microchips implanted in the animals to trace them back to owner Marsha Lubetkin and the happy family was reunited, wrote spokeswoman Nancy B. McKenney in an e-mail.
The two cute pugs - one of which is blind - were discovered missing Monday after Lubetkin came home to discover someone had ransacked part of her home, stealing two rings and the dogs.
Lubetkin was so desperate to be reuinted that she offered a monetary reward and said she would drop charges against the dognappers if they turned in the dogs.
It's unclear where this development leaves the police investigation.

I would be psychotic if anyone ever stole my pugs. You don't own pugs, pugs own you.
