That's right -- quidditch, the sport of Harry Potter.

Of course, it isn't exactly the same as in the books or movies. The UW's "intercoligiate quidditch" club had to make some modifications to the sport, fictitiously played on flying brooms with enchanted balls.

They have to run with the brooms between their legs, for starters. And the golden snitch, the small, flying ball Harry has to capture to end the match, is actually just a guy dressed in yellow dashing around campus with a gold ball tied to his back.

But though the UW's version of the game is land-bound, the group still seems to be having fun.

"It's a lot more athletic than you would think it is, just running around with a broomstick between your legs," one UW student said when interviewed by the university's student paper.

It's worth noting that the UW isn't the only place this is happening -- not by a long shot. There's even an online wand store where you can stock up on supplies.
