Brett Hunt cast in "Angels & Demons" movie, Hollywood, CA
HOLLYWOOD, CA - Friday, August 8th, 2008 - Actor Brett Hunt has been cast in "Angels & Demons," the long-awaited prequel to "The Da Vinci Code," which is being directed by Ron Howard and stars Tom Hanks, Ewan McGregor, and Ayelet Zurer. Brett Hunt will be playing Father Murphy, one of the clergy members at the Vatican. "I'm very excited to be a part of this movie," Brett exclaimed. "Meeting Tom Hanks and the rest of the cast was simply amazing. They were such genuine and nice people," he said.
In other Brett Hunt movie news, he begins filming "The Cost of Living," on August 11th, 2008 in Seattle, WA. It's a comedy about a Hitman who's new to the job and really isn't very good, often failing terribly and never quite getting his target. Brett will be playing the lead role of George and even shares a scene with his real-life daughter, child starlet Ashley Hunt. "It is such a rare treat to work with your children like this. I love making movies and I'm deeply touched and honored to have my daughter be a part of this with me. I love this scene in the script and I know she's just going to steal the show," he said laughing.
Brett's next major movie project is called "Kontrast," a dark and emotional drama about life and consequences, wherein Brett will be playing a starring role. Robert Legend's Review:
Even though I'm a guy, I've seen episodes of the show before and have always been entertained by it. It's well written and pretty funny on occasion. The movie also has its comedic moments, but overall the nearly two and a half hour story was all over the place and had no real continuity, pace or plotline. It turned into two and a half hours of random plot tangents and back and forth irrational drama that didn't really have any point. I guess that's why this movie is catered to women… only they can understand it apparently. All I learned from this movie is that some women are completely crazy (especially Carrie and Miranda) and quite frankly their guys in this movie were idiots for staying with Carrie and Miranda after all they put them through. I've met women like that in real life and let me tell you, they're just as nuts and a smart man would run for the hills and not cater to their craziness. Oh and on a funnier note, the screening that I saw had a LOT of microphone boom in some of the scenes. It was hilarious watching the actors with a huge boom right over their heads. Hopefully that gets fixed before nationwide audiences see it like that. Overall, this movie has some good moments and it was fun to watch, but holy crap was it LONG!! They could have easily cut out a good 45 minutes of the all-over-the-place story and tightened up the screws a bit plot-wise.
All in all, I'd give this movie 3 Crazy Chicks (out of 5). Re-watch value: LOW (for guys) and MEDIUM (for women).

Synopsis: Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is a billionaire industrialist and genius inventor who is kidnapped and forced to build a devastating weapon. Instead, using his intelligence and ingenuity, Tony builds a high-tech suit of armor and escapes captivity. When he uncovers a nefarious plot with global implications, he dons his powerful armor and vows to protect the world as Iron Man. Co-stars Terrence Howard, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jeff Bridges.

Robert's Review
Not as good as "Spiderman" or "Batman Begins," but still damn good, "Iron Man" is definitely a must-see blockbuster movie. Robert Downey Jr. really fits the part and plays a great Tony Stark and Gwyneth Paltrow plays a perfect Pepper Potts. I loved the heavy character development, but at the same time I think it was a little too slow for my tastes. About two-thirds of the movie was all character driven and quite sluggish in parts, while the other one-third of the movie had some pretty amazing special effects action sequences. Overall, I was very impressed with "Iron Man" and would happily go see it again in theaters.
Overall Rating: 4 Iron Soldiers (out of 5). Re-Watch Value: High

Brett's Review
Marvel's first solo adventure "Iron Man" looks like they did a great job coming out of the gates. I really enjoyed this movie; Robert Downey Jr. did a fantastic job of bringing Tony Stark to life. I thought the special effects (even though that doesn't make a movie) and the story were fantastic. The movie is a little slow in parts however the non-slow parts made up for it. Overall, I thought this was a well put together movie and a great job on Marvel's part.
Overall Rating 4.5 S.H.I.E.L.D's. Re-Watch Value: High (I have seen it twice already).©2006-2008 The Popcorn Review, LLC aka "TPR, LLC". All Rights Reserved.
