How old do I have to be to participate in the forums?
Forums, chat rooms or other interactive features are not intended for children 12 and younger. For more information, please read our Terms of Uervice.

Do I have to accept cookies?
You will not need to accept cookies if you simply wish to browse our forums. If you would like to post to the forums, you must accept cookies. Cookies are used to help track your login status.

Are the forums moderated?
While the P-I will not, and cannot, review every posted message, and is not responsible for the content of such postings, it reserves the right to delete, move or edit messages that it deems inappropriate at its sole and absolute discretion. Please read our Terms of Use for further details.

There is a post that I find objectionable. Who should I contact?
E-mail any complains to newmedia@seattlepi.com. Please include the message number and the name of the forum in your e-mail.

Registration

Do I need to register in order to read posts?
No, you may browse through any of our forums anonymously.

Do I need to register in order to post a message?
Yes.

Do you have a privacy policy? What will you do with my personal information?

I never received validation instructions, what should I do?
If you never received validation instructions, please ensure your email address is correct. You can check and edit your information or have your validation instructions resent by clicking here.

Posting

Can I include HTML in my posts?
For many reasons, we do not allow HTML within posts. However, you can use special codes to insert bold, italic, e-mail addresses and hyperlinks. These codes are explained in detail when you post.

Can I attach a file to my post?
No.

My post disappeared, where did it go?
Posts will be purged from our forum after the topic it belongs to has not been posted to for a given amount of time. This time period varies from forum to forum. Your post may have also been deleted if it contains profanity or other objectionable material.
