« Erasure: 2007 looks like a lot like 1987 | Main | Layne Staley benefit »
For the first time in 22 years, original lead singer David Lee Roth will rejoin Van Halen for the group's much-anticipated North American reunion tour, which includes a concert Dec. 3 at KeyArena.
This tour either is going to be terrific fun -- or a terrific disappointment.
Roth and Van Halen have had a turbulent history since Roth and his former bandmates separated in the mid-1980s, resulting in a long-running feud and ever-changing lead singers, the most successful of who was Sammy Hagar.
Solo, Roth never matched the success he had with Van Halen. The tour kicks off Sept. 27 in Charlotte, N.C.; tickets for select dates go on sale Saturday at livenation.com.
The show is expected to include such favorite songs as "Running With the Devil," "Jamie's Crying," "Dance the Night Away," "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love" and "Jump."
