White Stripes heading to Seattle

Rock duo The White Stripes will perform its only Northwest shows Sept. 26-27 at the Paramount Theatre. Opening are Cold War Kids.

The White Stripes will release, "Icky Thump," their sixth full-length album this month. The Detroit duo's 2005 album, "Get Behind Me Satan," was a trendsetting CD that led to a frenzy of tour dates.

Tickets, $40, go on sale June 16 at Ticketmaster.
