Gates, Ballmer Q&A
Microsoft marked its 30th anniversary during its annual employee meeting Friday at Safeco Field. Afterward, Bill Gates and CEO Steve Ballmer took some time to talk about the company's prospects for the future. See this Q&A for excerpts from my interview with them, in which they addressed topics including Microsoft's efforts to expand beyond Windows and Office, its competition with Google, and how long Ballmer and Gates themselves plan to stay with the company.

I have been reading for months now how google is going to beat bill at his own game and thinking ya right, but now, i am a believer, this whole activation, validation, etc crap, which is easily beat by the way, is just part of the chorus in which the fat lady is singing, to me these all seem like panic driven step to try and forgo the inevetable and in actuality they are a self fulfilling prophecy, cause all they do is make the honest people wish for lindows.
