From the Queen of Ice Cream!

Back home, most folks no me as an ice cream fanatic. I was quite taken by ice cream and made a point to try ice cream everytime I happened upon a new shop. Unfortunately (or fortunately as my hips may say ;) ), out here in the Seattle area they just don't do ice cream like they do back in good ol' Upstate NY. Here, people don't seem that passionate about the creamy goodness, and when you do find someone who wants to get a cone with you they are more than content with a stop at a chain (Coldstone, Baskin Robbins, or Dairy Queen) ice cream shop.

Luckily, when I need a true ice cream fix the Eastside's got the place for me! Theno's Dairy in Redmond (on Redmond-Woodinville Rd.) is exactly what I'm looking for. They make fresh, high-quality ice cream. They are always rotating the flavors, and you can't go wrong with any of them. This is a true dairy! It's the kind of ice cream that is nice and creamy, but now-and-again you'll get a little ice chunk - true dairy style!

When you want some true ice cream, you've gotta check this place out! I'm not saying a dairy queen sundae doesn't rock, 'cause it does, but hey, when you need the real deal there is a place to get it!

Check out Theno's Dairy at 12248 156th Ave. NE, Redmond, WA 98052-2041Phone: (425) 885-2339

Theno's Dairy has been around for a long time and has been my favorite as well since I was a child growing up in Redmond - thanks for reminding me - I'll have to go there again sometime and relive the fond memories!
