Milky Way Farm Guest House in Hansville; Country Charm and Character for your next gathering

One of the things I love about the Puget Sound area is the abundance and variety of get-away locations, day trips, weekend escapes and circle drives.

We enjoy miles of beaches, mountains, city, country; just about whatever you're looking for all within a short distance.

There is certainly no "best" place; just a lot of wonderful options. At the end of this I'll add a link to some of the best of the Kitsap escape locations but I wanted to introduce a newly available vacation rental.

Milky Way Farm Guest House

Milky Way Farm Guest House is a large farmhouse located on an historic homestead in Hansville and is newly renovated and decorated with antiques. The farmhouse sits on 20 acres of hayfields, an orchard, flower & vegetable gardens, and a pond. A step back in time with all the modern conveniences including internet and satellite TV.

The house comfortably sleeps 10 in 5 bedrooms; 2 Queens and 3 Doubles, with two baths.

The charming kitchen, has a working antique Fredick & Nelson wood stove as well as a full compliment of modern appliances, beautiful woodwork and is FULLY equipped with everything you'll need to cook a romantic dinner or put on a full spread for a big family gathering - just bring the groceries.

There is a huge covered porch overlooking the orchard and cows in the pasture. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the country in any weather.

Here's the best part - the cost, which I am sure will increase next summer.

You can rent the full house; for $150/night when you use one bedroom plus $50/night for each additional bedroom used. In addition, there are discounts for full week rentals.

If you are looking for a family, book club, girls group, or other outing; check out Milky Way Farm Guest House and make your reservations. They have only been open for a short time and until recently only marketed and rented locally - mostly by word of mouth.

As of today Thanksgiving weekend is still available. Gather the family!
