Blog Readers Advise; Spa Owner Saves

BIG THANKS are in order because, thanks to you Dear Readers, this procrastinating, disorganized, STUPID STUPID STUPID blogger is going to get a facial, pedicure, and MAASSSAAAGE next week.

Say it with me now: YIIPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Actually, the massage lady's booked, so my bliss comes the week after next. But still. I'm thrilled. A few posts ago I whined about missing the expiration date on the spa gift certificate the dreadfully charming Mr. Right gave me for Valentine's Day. And I wrote how the spa receptionist, in not the nicest of tones, refused to honor it (read full transcript here). And my dear readers stepped up to the comments section and told me to call back.

So I did. I asked to speak to the manager or owner, and in my most contrite voice, I explained my predicament again. While I can't say she was exactly chummy, she agreed to honor the certificate until the end of the month.

Say it again with me: YIIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

That one's even longer than the first because it's celebrating, not just my impending pamper-dom, but my wonderful readers and this forgiving spa owner.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.

(And for those of you rolling your eyes in disgust at my entitled, whiny self getting out of jail free, well, I hear ya. But gosh I'm exited about that MAASSSAAAGE).

Happily even after,
janna

Rock on, sista!

Quit being so hard on yourself. Seriously. It is a service that Mr. R. PAID FOR and you just want what you PAID FOR. That is not entitlement my friend. IMHO, gift certificates shouldn't have an expiration date at all. You paid for it, you should get it! End of story!

I believe in the state of Washington gift certificates are not allowed to have an expiration date.

Not so sure if joining me in long and loud, ear-piercing noises is really the message Subaru brake pads want to be sending. Hm.
