Culinology Conference in Seattle

I walked into the room and noticed two circles of people, the inner circle revealed seemingly innocent students reciting their resumes, eager to impress the people in front of them.
In the outer circle, professionals in sleek business attire throw questions at full speed in a relaxed, laid back setting.
A lady calls for everyone to move a spot, "5 minutes is up"!
What could it be?
Is it students looking for older companions? Is it some strange episode of Dr. Phil?
No. It is culinology job interviews a la speed dating.
Students got the chance to brush up on their interviewing skills with research chefs, food scientists and other industry professionals. This may be the job opportunity of a lifetime. Networking at its best!

This was just one of the activities at the R.C.A Culinology conference taking place in Seattle this week until Saturday.
Other ingredients on the menu include a culinology competition, your choice of food industry related seminars (media 101, Meat alternatives, tools and tips to speeding up the design and development Process) a culinology expo and extensive amounts of shmoozing with people from all over the state.
