Julius in the house

The club has confirmed that free-agent running back Julius Jones is visiting today.

Still not sure what to make of this.

Is Jones just trying to show the Titans and Lions that there is interest from other clubs? He would be the no-questions starter with either of those teams, and they have a lot more salary-cap room than the Seahawks.

The Seahawk just signed running back T.J. Duckett, but have made it abundantly clear that he is a tandem back.

Then there is the draft, where the Seahawks need to address the future of this position – no matter who else remains on the roster.

Read the words from my mouth - NO WAY! Julius is and always will be an injury concern. He shouldn't even be under consideration. What's going on here?

I hope "gome" in crazy seahawk fan language means still on the team. If you are frustrated with Alexanders nagging injuries last season this frustration will not be quelled with TJ or Jones. Both are famous not for scoring touchdowns but for being injured...all season long!!!!

It's obvious to anyone that the Seahawks are trying to revive their struggling offense by reverting back to the T-Formation in Holmgren's final year. Now they just need to draft the ghost of Red Grange in the 1st round.

UPDATE: Shaun Alexander is responsible for the 'Hawks giving up 42 points in Green Bay, losing Josh Brown, the Sonics moving, global warming, UW losing and everything else that's wrong in the Northwest....

If the Seahwaks cut Alexander (Alabama grad) and the Air Force reconsiders and "gives" Boeing the contract it awarded Mobile to build tankers, will you Seattle natives quit whining, crying and B******G?

'BAMA RULES while Seattle cries a Green River of tears.

HA!

I will say it in words that even an Alabaman can understand: Yep!

How can we "mark your words" when you don't have enough cojones to not post anonymosly?

Shaun (note the spelling) will be here next year and cut/traded next year. I will be really surpised if we don't hear Jones signed somewhere else by the end of the weekend...

Big Ern - you are exactly right! Sadly....

Why does anyone think Julius has an injury problem? And didn't anyone notice the way he torched the 'Hawks for 200+ a couple of years back? He's easily the best value on the market, and unless you think Alexander is going to get "it" back, the 'Hawks would be stupid not to sign Julius Jones.

As a Cowboys fan, the only thing I can tell you is BUYER BEWARE. This guy is a tease. He'll show something occasionally, but more often than not, he'll go down on first contact. He breaks the fewest tackles you'll ever see.

If Seahawks did sign Jones and released Shaun Alexander, would the salary cap situation improved for them?

In Alabama, adult movies that are bought and sold there aren't actually allowed to show "the act" on film because it's been deemed by the state legislature to be analogous to looking directly at an act of God, or even God itself... and as we all know from the ending of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" that when you do that, your head either melts or explodes.

Oh, and the hawks should pass on Jones.

I would only want Jones if its for little money but what about Trufant are we not going to sign him? Article says we have about 8 mil, Draft players, so dont think Jones will be coming to Seattle but who knows.

Hawks would be much better off trading up to get Mendenhall or Stewart, then cutting or trading SA.

We dont get much Cap if we release SA this year only like what 150-200k give him another chance?

Julius is going to make 5.5 mil this season hmm? lets see, can someone inform me exactly what happens if we cut Shaun? how much guarentee does he have? we wont get much cap this year but will save around 4.5 in 09 right? and the some 20 mil will be saved
