The Seahawks just announced the signing of tight end Jeb Putzier to a one-year contract. He was released last month by the Houston Texans.
He caught only six passes last season, but he had 36 and 37 receptions in 2004 and 2005 while playing with the Denver Broncos – the team that selected him in the sixth round of the 2002 draft.
Putzier (6-4, 251) played at Boise State and is from Eagle, Idaho.
