Although we are just seeing the beginning signs of an impending recession, if some of us haven't already felt it, it is something that is unfortunately looming. There is good news though! We've got some help with local Eastside restaurants. Here are some of the participating restaurants, and what they've got to offer:

Hector's in Kirkland will have "Taco Tuesday's" $2.00 tacos on Tuesday's! Your choice of crisp chicken, carnes asada beef soft taco, or fish tacos for $2.00 per taco (with purchase of beverage) Served with rice and black beans.

Come and get them while they're still open. Word on the street is that they're moving if the McCleod Project goes through (I'll keep you posted).

Newport Bay has an amazing "Happy Hour" twice a day, everyday with Cheeseburger Sliders and Fries for $1.99 and Crab & Seafood Cakes for $3.99, soups and salads, and many more great selections and low prices.

I visit quite often and I can tell you, the food is fresh and tasty. With prices as low as these, you might want to come early just to get a place to sit, it packs out most of the time. They do have some rules to get these prices though, Happy Hour is available in the lounge only and sorry, no doggy bag for "Spot". The hours are from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and from 9:00 PM to close, again, everyday.

"Save Water! Drink Wine!" Complimentary Wine on Friday's & Saturday's out at theCountry Cottage Wine Merchant's and sometimes, they even have live music and light appetizer's too!

This is a quaint little wine shop in the Canyon Park area of Bothell just off of Bothell/Everett Hwy - I highly recommend the trip out there! Rudy & Betty the owners are very knowledgable about the wines and they've got a really great little wine accessory store as well. The complimentary tastings on Friday are from 4-9pm and 2-6pm Saturdays.
