Matt Cameron's jazzy side project

Matt Cameron's new band, or side project rather, HarryBu McCage, will release its self-titled debut record Tuesday.

The group, consisting of Cameron on drums, keyboardist and guitarist Ryan Burns and bassist Geoff Harper, is an all-instrumental jazz trio. Cameron also contributes guitar on some songs.

This makes HarryBu McCage much, much different than Cameron's other side projects, Wellwater Conspiracy and Hater and definitely light years away from Cameron's main band, Pearl Jam.

The record features 10 songs, five of which are interpretations of Thelonious Monk numbers with a Funkadelic song and a Duke Ellington song in the mix too. The lone track written by Cameron (who has also written some excellent Pearl Jam songs since joining the band) is "Rhodes Jam."

Prior to releasing the album, HarryBu McCage played a handful of local shows as well as a set at last month's Bonnaroo.

If you can't wait for Tuesday to get your hands on "HarryBu McCage" you can purchase the album through Ten Club.

Here is the track list:

1. I Mean You (C. Hawkins, T. Monk)
2. A Little Max (D. Ellington)
3. Sneakin' Around (R. Bryant)
4. Evidence (T. Monk)
5. Monk's Mood (T. Monk)
6. Jetskiing on Priest Lake (Ryan Burns)
7. Ask Me Now (T. Monk)
8. Off Minor (T. Monk)
9. Rhodes Jam (M. Cameron)
10. Alice in My Fantasies (G. Clinton, Jr.)
