Bradbury Press remembers the Crocodile with style

Remember the Crocodile Cafe? It seems like it was just last December when the Belltown venue was hosting shows and serving up cold glasses of PBR. Oh wait, it was just last December when the Croc was hosting bands and serving up $2 glasses of Pabst Blue Ribbon.

If you can't tell, Ear Candy is feeling a little nostalgic. But since EC can't really go to the Croc, considering it no longer exists and all, I'll settle for the next best thing -- a live recording of a show from the Crocodile.

You can relive your memories of the Crocodile by hitting up the Tractor Tavern tonight for a show by local band Bradbury Press. The band is remembering the Croc with style by celebrating the release of its new CD "Live At The Crocodile."

In case you're not familiar with the Bradbury Press, the band consists of Darren Golden (vocals and acoustic guitar), Dave Brewer(electric guitar and the band's other vocalist/songwriter), Travis Hartman (bass), and Greg Garcia (drums) and they will be accompanied by fast-rising local jam band Handful Of Luvin' and the excellent excellent Gary Reynolds.

"Live at The Crocodile" features live versions of tracks from The Bradbury Press' two studio releases (2006's "The Front" and 2003's "Hanscom") as well as the new tune "Need To Say." There is also a cover of Adam Hood's "Million Miles Away" on the record. During the set Bradbury Press was joined by Nathan Spicer and Ty Bailie on keyboards, Dan Tyack on lap steel, and Travis Beard on banjo.

The show starts at 9 p.m. and you can buy your advance tickets here.
