« Sasquatch! rumors update: Radiohead to be stateside in May, does this mean a Sasquatch! headlining spot? | Main | Ear Candy's Valentine's Day suggestion: 100 Heartbreaks »
There have been plenty of rumors and scuttlebutt floating around the Internets recently regarding the headliners for Sasquatch!
Ear Candy will be the first to admit that a lot of that speculation can be traced back to yours truly, and a lot of that speculation centered around whether Radiohead and Jack Johnson would be the last big-name headliners announced on Feb. 25.
Well, Ear Candy can now bring you definitive word on whether Radiohead and Jack Johnson will be performing at this year's 'Quatch. The confirmation came to me from a highly reliable source with knowledge of the lineup for this year's festival. The email reads in part:
"Lets play a little game called "Who Isn't Playing Sasquatch!"
I'll start by quashing the rumor: Radiohead are not playing Sasquatch ... Same story for Jack Johnson. And lastly (I know this will crush you) Britney Spears is NOT playing Sasquatch."
There you have it. The official word is Jack Johnson, Radiohead and Britney Spears will not be playing Sasquatch!
This is legit info folks, so sorry to get your hopes up about a possible Radiohead headlining show. Oh, and for those of you excited about Jack Johnson, I'm sorry for getting your hopes up about that too I suppose.

So happy no Jack Johnson. That guy has no business at an indie / alterna festival. On the other hand, I hope this doesn't mean Modest Mouse will headline a third day, though it probably will.
