ABC Wednesday! O is for Obedience

Dogaholics often love training their dogs! We know that dogs love training. It is good for both body and soul and a tired dog is a good dog.
Obedience training forms the base of all dog activities. Once your dog understands the basics you can branch out into all the fun dog sports there are!

Start when they are small and ask them to sit politely when company comes. Once they understand stay, you can use that to help get the pictures you want of them.

Once they graduate from obedience school they can do fun things such as flyball,

And best of all agility!

Clancy is working on his PhD in dog obedience. We are currently enrolled in agility and he loves it except for the jumps...he would just as soon walk into them as jump over them...unless I have a ball and throw it for him........too fun....

Hello, you are right about teaching them to stay! I've been able to get some nice pictures of my dog because he will stay. http://chasingsquirrelswithrusty.wordpress.com/
