Dramatis Personae: Daisy

Name: Daisy

Coloring: Calico
Nicknames: Itty Bit, Diablita, Bonsai, Deedle D

Daisy had the run of the house about a week before Franklin came on board. She found me at a shelter adoption event in Everett. Her two sisters had already been adopted, but she reached out and grabbed me and without a word said "take me home, already."

So I did. At the top of her tiny little lungs, she wailed for much of the ride home, but we finally made it, and she settled in pretty quickly to the house. Never let her small size fool you - she's a tough little girl and takes no prisoners. She may not be big enough to hop up on the counters like her bigger (but slightly younger) brother, but that's never stopped her, she'll just climb up and over and around till she gets what she wants (or just meow at the top of her tiny little lungs). For as quiet as Franklin is, Daisy is loud and will make as much noise as she needs to be heard, and Diva Daisy will be heard.

I call her Bonsai cat because she has stayed so small; still under four pounds. She went through some early digestive issues that we worked through with the vet, but even with those (mostly) in the past, she's still a wee thing, and will probably top out at five or six pounds, if that. But despite the fact that Franklin is three times her size, she is not easy prey. He doesn't seem to have clued into that fact, and it brings me no end of amusement to watch him try to bully her and watch her fight back, tough as nails every time, much to his surprise.
