Pocket tigers

Stavi, yet to grow into his ears, was making the most of being the youngest pocket tiger around. His favorite trick? Running under the adult cats' legs.

That worked in May and June. Stavi was the self-declared mini king of the household, loving every moment of it. (Being spoiled is fun!)

In July another pocket tiger showed up. Yoda. Oh-oh. Yoda's a bottle baby and needs lots of laptime. Stavi learned how to growl and directed his growls at (guess who!) Yoda. The newcomer had, of course, stolen center stage from him. If Stavi had a tee shirt, it would read I'm sooooo jealous of my baby brother!

Face it, kitties of any age don't appreciate sharing the spotlight. ... In their minds they're all only children.

In this Stavi photo, where he's sound asleep, he appears innocent. Please don't be fooled. Stavi's a kitty warrior. He's dreaming of ways to sneak up on Yoda and bite or swat at him.
