Snow Day

I enjoyed walking everywhere around the neighborhood this last week, even more than usual. Even when it was melted and forgotten elsewhere in the city, the ice and snow persisted on the top of Capitol Hill throughout the week.

On one of my walks, I met Ronald Fulton taking a stroll with his pet Yellow Nap Amazon parrot named "Sailor".

When asked if his parrot liked the snow and freezing temperatures, Mr. Fulton shared with us that Sailor starts to feel trapped inside after awhile and likes to get outside in the cool breeze and feel the wind ruffle his feathers.

Happy Snow Day, Sailor!
