Art Cars come to Capitol Hill

Picture
Art Cars on Prospect & 17th Ave E.

Like salmon returning upstream to spawn, the art cars made a victorious return to Capitol Hill on Friday, on their way to the Fremont Fair.

Art car artists from around the country travel to Seattle to display their cars for several days at Fremont, while making several pit stops and tours around and through the Seattle area.

We were happy to host the welcome party which occurred last night in our usually quiet Capitol Hill neighborhood, where guests dined on pizza and fine boxed wine of a certain vintage.

Saturday and Sunday they'll be displayed on a side street at the Fremont Fair, in all their glory. Make sure you stop by, look at the cars and meet the artists.

(And a special shout-out to all our neighbors. Thanks for not calling the police!)

Thanks for writing this, and for posting these great photos! I love the art cars.
