Notes on Rita

Hurricane Rita has weakened slightly but it's still steaming toward the southeast Texas coast and could be at least a Category 3 when it makes landfall. How bad could things get? Our sister paper, the Houston Chronicle, outlined that city's doomsday scenario earlier this year.
