Brian Chin's Weblog surveys the Web to spot what people are talking about ...
August 04, 2005Inescapable influencesHere's another example of how thoroughly competitive reality shows have wormed their way into all walks of modern life. Xavier University professor Karim M. Tiro tells the campus magazine that his new course on "The History of the Pig in America" will include this Trump-inspired project: Students will design a web site or museum exhibition devoted to the history of the pig in America. I’m a fan of "The Apprentice," so the class will be divided into competing teams. I’m looking forward to seeing what names they give themselves.Category: Zeitgeist watch Posted by Brian Chin at August 4, 2005 04:49 PM Comments
I just hope professors don't start dividing the class based on race like Trump recently talked about. Posted by: randy at August 4, 2005 06:41 PMThey already divide the class by gender, and social class has been filtered by the price and admission criteria. As long as they don't separate the blond blue-eyed from the rest. Another Stanley Milgram test? Posted by: Constant Reader at August 5, 2005 06:05 AMPost a comment
