August 02, 2005Scan and stunNew Scientist's Barry Fox reports that someone has patented a scanning wand for airport security guards that doubles as a stun gun: If the passenger is a suicide bomber who realises the wand has found something, the guard might not have enough time to pull out handcuffs or a gun.
