Dear Brian Chin: It looks like TV is getting into the act of Podcasting. Chicago's NBC5 has announced that it is now podcasting. NBC5 calls itself the "first major market TV station in the country to offer daily podcasts" NBC5 is offering three podcasts: the NBC5 News Podcast, the NBC5 HealthWatch Podcast and the NBC5 Entertainment Podcast. NBC5.com I think it may be beneficial to the readers of the Seattle PI to consider doing a story on local Podcasters. And as you may know, Seattle is the Streaming Media capitol of the world, now Podcasting? We have been podcasting since the very start of the Podcasting trend. High Octane Trading (HOT) Radio is the first investing and trading financial podcast show and among Adams Curry's Podsquad list. Steve Wirrick is the host of High Octane Trading (HOT) Radio and we podcast from the beautiful Emerald city of Seattle, WA. Thanks and please do let me know if I can help out with any Podcasting info you may need if you decide to do a story on local Podcasters. -Ricardo Rabago Tune into HOT Radio... the ONLY podcast that teaches you... You should also add what the New York Times has been doing with Audible for the last several years. Can anyone aim us to a paper with concrete plans to make money from podcasts? I think podcasting may be the technology that can reverse newspapers' readership decline. But it won't be easy. My question is how much do they get paid for it? Posted by: Joe M at June 6, 2005 11:08 AMI have been following newspaper podcasts as well.
