Blogging the RNC

We've joined the ranks of sites with people blogging from the Republican National Convention. Our blogger is Stewart M. Powell, the White House correspondent for our parent, Hearst Newspapers. As you may have guessed, he's no newcomer to the political scene: he's been covering the conventions since 1976.

Stewart will be updating his blog throughout the proceedings. Actually, he started early with a series of posts that set the scene, ranging from why folks like John Ashcroft and Donald Rumsfeld will be no-shows in New York to prospects for an actual Bush vs. Kerry debate to the police presence in the Big Apple.
